“Mayor Agan cleared his name before leaving us” – Mannix

Vice Mayor Mannix Dalipe expressed sadness upon confirming the demise of former city mayor Vitaliano Agan yesterday at the Doctors Hospital. “At least Mayor Agan was able to clear his name before leaving us” he said.
Dalipe said “Mayor Agan helped me enter politics and have contributed a lot to the success of my political career.”

Accoding to Dalipe, Agan’s political detractors whom he declined to name were able to totally tarnish and destroy the name of the former mayor by making false accusations and filing baseless cases in court against him. “They threw everything at Mayor Agan including the kitchen sink. For so many years, the poor man had to defend himself in court after serving the city of because of the evil machinations of a once very strong and well connected political clan in the city.”It is to be recalled that several cases were filed against Mayor Vitaliano Agan by individuals connected to the former mayor’s political rival after his term as Mayor of ended. Agan spent most of his retirement defending himself against these cases. Close family friends of the former mayor said that Agan suffered a lot from all the false accusations hurled against him just to catapult his political rivals into power.Mayor Agan was recently acquitted by the courts from all the cases filed against him.“Evil deeds will never win, Mayor Agan was able to prove his detractors wrong. The ruling of the courts acquitting him from the fabricated charges vindicated Mayor Agan and cleared his name from any wrongdoing while he was serving as Mayor of City”. Dalipe said Dalipe added “Among the most notable projects that Mayor Agan gave the people of are the street lights. Without Agan, our city might still be in the dark up to these days. I personally want to remember him as the man who brightened City.”“We owe a lot to this man, he was one of the best leaders of our city.
