Zambo Press club induction tonight at Grand Astoria Hotel

Everything is set for tonight’s 28th Induction Ceremony of the Zamboanga Press Club Inc. (ZPCI) new set of officers led by its reelected president RPN DXXX manager Manuel “Gerry” Lacastesantos at the Grand Astoria Hotel along Mayor Jaldon St., this city.
The officers have unanimously chosen Ateneo de Zamboanga University President Fr. Antonio Moreno as the keynote speaker who was a former mediaman himself.
Lacastesantos said that the city’s top officials led by Mayor Celso Lobregat, District 1 Congresswoman Isabelle Climaco and District 2 Congressman Erbie Fabian will also deliver their respective messages in the gathering.
Other stakeholders have also been invited to grace the occasion, Lacastesantos said.
This year’s theme is “The Role of Media in the Changing Time.”
Aside from Lacastesantos, the other officers who will officially be inducted are: Executive Vice President Jimmy Villaflores of Zamboanga Times and Wild FM, Vice President for Print Nonong Santiago of Zamboanga Today and DXXX, VP for Television Phillip Abuy of DXXX, VP for Radio Elsie Molina of Radyo ng Bayan, Secretary Teodiver Arquiza of TV 11, Treasurer Javee Francisco of GMA, Auditor Hermie Ventura of TV 11, Chairman of the Board Letty Militante of ZamboPen and Wild FM. Members of the board Jun Bernardo of Wild FM, Richard Falcatan of RMN, Joey Bautista of City Hall Press, MOnch Follosco of Zamboanga Today, Bong Garcia of Sunstar and Roderick Marcelno of RMN.
